4 Infused Water Recipes to Refresh and Hydrate

With summer on the horizon, all we can think about is chilling outdoors with a cool glass of something in hand. These waters infused with the natural sweetness of fruit are a surefire way to stay hydrated during the warmer months in the most delicious & healthy way. Infused Water is a great low calorie way to flavor your water naturally. Sometimes drinking the daily recommended amount of water can be tough. Fortunately, I have four tried and true infused water recipes that refresh and hydrate.

Here’s what you need to make 4 easy infused water recipes

  • Citrus – I prefer lemons, limes, and oranges
  • Strawberries or raspberries
  • Melons – Watermelon or Kiwi
  • Pineapples
  • Cucumbers
  • Mason jars or water bottle (I purchased my mason jars for Dollar Tree, came with the lid and straw! so cute right?)

Did you know that many people don’t drink nearly enough water every day? The general guideline is 64 oz a day, however this is completely dependent on your muscle mass, weight, height, activity level, etc. The rule of thumb I personally follow is to check the urine color. If it’s a light lemonade color, you’re good to go. If it’s completely clear, you’re drinking too much. And if it’s dark, DRINK UP! And use these infused water recipes, of course! Dehydration can lead to all sorts of health problems, like:

  • Dry skin,
  • Constipation
  • Fatigue
  • Mood disorders and imbalances and more!

We all know the importance of hydrating ourselves, but do you actually do it?  Water is so blah tasting sometimes, so why not spruce it up by infusing it with fruits and veggies.  I figured I would give it a try and if  nothing else, it looks so pretty, doesn’t it–kinda makes you want to drink it.  I have been drinking a combination of four different citrus infused water recipes. This has helped me to get clear skin (bye, hormonal acne), and also supports cleansing my body. This water for getting rid of that bulky, bloated feeling

4 Fruit Infused Hydration Waters

  1. Kiwi & Watermelon
  2. Cucumber
  3. Strawberries and Pineapple
  4. Oranges
  5. Cut up the fruits in pieces and mix as you wish
  • Strawberries contain anthocyanins, which can also prevent fat cells from enlarging and are also a great metabolism booster. Umm, yes please, and thank you very much!
  • Oranges and peels are a great immune system booster
  • Cucumber helps with water retention since they have anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Kiwi has a lot of antioxidants and are a good source of fiber
  • Pineapples have high amounts of thiamin, a B vitamin that is involved in energy production
  • Watermelon helps you hydrate and full of vitamins such as Vitamin A, B6 and C, watermelon is also packed with lycopene and amino acids, all combining to contribute towards healthy skin, aiding the immune system, and benefitting from antioxidants. Arginine (an amino acid) is essential in our bodies and helps with blood circulation in the scalp.

Recipe Notes

Water can infuse for up to 1 week. The longer it infuses, the stronger the taste. I hope you get to try some of this recipes and stay hydrated all summer and winter long 🙂

With Love Always,
